At the end of it, shaykh al-Yaqoubi presents to the reader of the Dalā’il a unique ijāzah, a license, to narrate the Dalā’il to spiritully connect the reader to the author, imam al-Jazūli. He mentions eight chains, with scholars from the four Sunni schools of law spanning from Morocco to Mecca and Medina, the first time these chains are presented.
It worthy to mention that the shaykh al-Yaqoubi spent 55 years of his life reciting the Dalā’il Al-Khayrāt, and that he received it from the top scholars and men of Allah in Damascus, his father, sayyid Ibrahim and al-Yaqoubi (d. 1406 / 1985) and sayyid Makki al-Kittāni (d. 1393 / 1973).
Shaykh al-Yaqoubi has devoted his life to the service of the Dalā’il, he has authored two other books in Arabic related to it. The first is a 750 page work called The Key to Dalā’il Al-Khayrāt, where he presents detailed account of the life of imam al-Jazūli, his teachers, his travels, his spiritual journey, and his teachings. Beside unveiling, the sources imam al-Jazūli relied on when he wrote the Dalā’il, the benefits of special forms of prayers in the Dalā’il, the attention Muslim scholars gave to the Dalā’il and much more in 30 chapters.
The second book is an encyclopedia of the chains of the narrations through which the Dalā’il has been transmitted in the Muslim World. This book, called ‘Chains of Blessings’ is over 8500 pages. Both of these additional works will be released in the upcoming year.
